Takes place either after the series or some point after the BDM

( Incense, tea, silk scarves, massage oils )

Awww Mal *hugs him*. I like the matter of fact conversation with the feeling behind it. I love that Kaylee hugs him - only she could get away with that!

Sentimental through and through, that's my Mal. This was initially attempting to be Kaylee/Mal, but I thought it would be OOC for her to move in on him at this moment. (Jayne/Mal would have totally worked here though.)

This is a perfect drabble. One reads it and sense there's nothing missing, which often happens when confined to 100 words. Good job!

Thanks for reading this. Mal has the heart of a romantic, even though he rarely lets anyone see it.

I would rather write Mal/Badger than Mal/Inara. I love the show but the canon pairings (except for Zoe/Wash) left a lot to be desired.

Oh this is precious. I'm not a fan of Mal/Inara either, but this flows so perfectly, I didn't really care :) Really really liked the Mal/Kaylee here (even if you didn't display it as a shipping, it's perfect just as is) so very good!

Thank you. I love Mal/Kaylee and I really wanted to 'ship them, but this was what the muses gave me. It was nice just being able to write a quiet scene with the just two of them (even if Inara was lurking in the background throughout). Glad you enjoyed it.
