So, as can be imagined, this weekend was mostly horrible. Actually, pre-weekend was really really good. The weekend itself, was bad. But…let’s start from the beginning

Aww! Thank you so much...for a while this summer, we were really iffy..things just weren't going so hot, we were fighting all the time..I don't know what happened but one night we had a huge blowout, like a knock-em-down, this-is-the-end-for-real-this-time fight and spent almost a week apart and since then things have been amazing...it's weird to feel like I've been with him for nearly two years (next month) and it's still exactly what I want..
And this weekend was one of those times where I just knew that everything would be ok..I was so miserable and then we spent the night away and did these hokey things all day and things were mostly better....
And he got a lot of flack from his friends for spending nearly 2 hours in Yankee Candle, let me tell you! :o)
But he's an awesome person and he treats me incredibly well and most of the time knows just what to say or do to make it better...
Thank you so much for saying that!! (And I'm sure he would appreciate it too!)
He was so cute..he let me be hysterical, he gave me a cigarette and then goes "do you think you want to cry to Monster's Inc?" which obviously put me to sleep in under 15 minutes. He does well...and knows when to be quiet..which is often better! :op
I love the Amherst area. I spent three years at UMass Amherst, and know the area fairly well. I try to get out there once or twice a year. I've been to the pagoda once and liked it. I can point out good places to eat in Amherst and Northampton, as well as a couple of good small bookstores too. Of course, our trips out there always include a really good pizza place (by the slice; faves include tortellini pesto pizza and potato-bacon), Dave's Soda and Pet Food City, and Whole Foods. Glad you had a good time out there.
I'm glad to hear you made it through the weekend, and are feeling much better.
When you refer to the woman at the hotel, I've had momments like that myself, where I get agitated over the course of a few days, and end up blowing up all over someone. I'm glad Steve stopped it from being worse.
This "woman" and I use that term EXTREMELY loosely was like, 3 minutes short of doing the stereotypical three snaps and a headroll...I was going to kill her. And I'm seriously calling Super 8 to tell them how ridiculous it is that they LAUGHED at me, refused to take my name and then amazingly had no rooms.
Steve did drag me out of there at a good time though...he knew that I was going to lose it.
I've literally lost it before. I'm just glad Tina has enough sense to keep me from doing too much damage when I get the look on my face. usually it is a controlled anger though, like the time at Best Buy, or the time at Buffalo Wild Wings.
You, at least, got to do a lot of interesting stuff.
yeah, Friday made the rest of the weekend a little easier to take..and not beginning the weekend with a hate crime was probably good too...at least someone was rational :o)
I'm from that area!

Renald101 from WebMD here. I grew up in Shelburne Falls MA, the next town over from Greenfield.
Check out my blog (http://renaldsrap.blogspot.com/). My "Been a While" entry was from my hike up Sugarloaf and visit to Yankee Candle. We were there only a week apart!

How funky!! I knew you were from MA but I didn't know where!! Wicked cool..I wasn't too impressed with Greenfield (although the she-male didn't help the situation) but Deerfield and Amherst are gorgeous..I love going!!
Did you pick up anything fun at Yankee Candle? I'm an addict..
