O.K. I know you've all thought about it so I wanna hear your opinion.  Why is it in America you are mature enough to decide to join the army and die for your country, leave your family and fight for a nation at the age of 18, but yet not mature enough to know when to drink untill 21.

Let me think about that.. It seems to me that in our country (whether it be conscious effort or subtle training) that young boys (boys in particular) are pretty much conditioned to be tough and fight and be into Army/war games and what not (for example GI-JOE and those plastic toy soldiers...)

I think that the government has it's agenda and they don't care who dies for their country. If they could get away with it I'm SURE they'd be drafting 14year olds and such... =/

About drinking... I think that IF the government could get away with it that drinking and smoking would both be illegal but they can't do it.. so I think that's why the drinking age is 21.. and I dont know if that made even a fraction of a bit of sense but .. yeah.. Our government wants an Army... and I dont think our governemnt cares for mind altring chemicals... (well except the cokehead presidents and goverment officials... but they can do whatever they want! the bastards!)
