missing my cat

I really appreciate everyone's condolences about Biscuit. I'm fortunate that the people in my life understand it's hard to lose a pet.

I'm so sorry. After losing Nibbler 9 months ago, I totally relate. I still have those moments. *hugs* - msg me any time you need to talk. <3

I'm so dreading this moment myself. Bean's getting older and creakier, sleeping more, getting thinner... Having lost cats in the past, I totally understand. :(

I hope you get to enjoy Bean for a lot longer.

I can relate to this. It's just awful. I dread the day when it happens again, because Marinetti is so much a part of my life and means so much to me.

Anyway, thinking of you tons.

I did a little better at not pre-grieving Biscuit than I did with my Selkie. Sometimes this "being able to anticipate the future" feature of the brain is problematic.

Oh, I'm going to adopt the word 'pre-grieving'. It's such a good description of the way we can look too much to the future and make losses even harder than they are by nature.

I got sad at the thought of a lovely cat meeping in the bathroom.

I used to think pre-grieving would help make the loss easier to bear, but it really doesn't.
