It's been a week and a half since I got sick, and I'm only finally starting to feel normal again. If my immune system handles the avian flu this well, I'm in trouble.

Your parents and my parents are around the same age, and I empathize with what you say about watching them get old. It really is a sad, frightening experience, to watch parents shrink and get easily flummoxed over things that younger folks don't even think about.
