Well, I suppose the good thing about being up here in Sudbury on a weekly basis, is that it gives me a good excuse to sit down and write in this thing once in a while. Still leaves me bored as fuck, though, and I'd much rather be back at home with Shannon, but it could be worse, really ( Read more... )

Just curious since I spent oh so much time in Sudbury for work myself a couple of months ago. Where do they have you staying?

Comfort Inn on 2nd Avenue (it's only a two minute drive from the office on Falconbridge). I suppose I could stay at the Ambassador, but they put me in the Comfort Inn the first time, and it's just easier to rebook (I'm waiting until I hit the same room again, for what it's worth :-P)

I know that place well, it was closest to my office on Westmount as well. I think I've likely been in every room in that place. LOL.

The Ambassador is overpriced for what you get, I stayed there once but I really found the Comfort Inn to be MUCH better. Of course, it didn't hurt that I was there often enough that Alfred at the front desk knew my name everytime I went to check in. ;o) Oh yeah, and it's walkable to Boston Pizza.

Do you know if that new place on Barrydowne is open yet? (I want to say it was a Courtyard or Marriot?)

Yeah, I've seen the place in my travels back and forth (it is a Marriot, by the way). But, I gotta be honest, I never pad enough attention to see if it was open yet, but it does look finished, so it might be safe to assume that it is.

Actually had Boston Pizza for the first time last night. Not too shabby at all!

Just an addendum to that: last week when I was in Sudbury, I drove by that place at night and there wasn't a single light on inside the entire building...guess it wasn't quite ready.
