Embrace [APH Fanfic. Russia and China-centric]

Title: Embrace

Author: Lomelindi

Summary: A very young Ivan wanders into ancient China. (Japan, Korea, Hong Kong and Taiwan make cameos.)
Note: I refer to "Ivan" instead of "Russia" just because he's so young in this story that he's not even the Soviet Union yet or anything similar.

Warning: Not historically accurate in any way, shape or form. ( Read more... )

Dear god I squeed! Not only am I a huge sucker for the Asia family, but YOUNG IVAN!!! Really though, it's always a treat to see fic writers explore Ivan as a young child, and I've always loved the idea that he and Yao have met before. They are neighboring countries after all. I love the fic, it's very cute and well-written!

xDDD! Glad you like it! I love the Asian family and little!Ivan as well, so I couldn't resist attempting to write them. The possibilities are endless, since Ivan's about a thousand years old himself and there's a looooot of time in there for him to have met Yao long before Hetalia took place.

TTVTT I cried.
That is so touching and beautiful. I love the flow of the story and your writing in general. The whole concept is also very sweet. I could really feel the pain of little Ivan oh gawd... *sniff*
And the characterizations are amazing and spot-on.
I love thiiiissss~!!!

LOL Wow! XD; I didn't even make it that angsty! *huggles* I'm so glad I made you happy. The possibilities with little!Ivan and China's long, long history are endless. I'm such a sucker for Ivan in all sorts of ways, hahaha.

I'm so glad you like the characterizations, I actually had issues with some of them. :< I honestly couldn't think of what Korea and Taiwan had to do, hahaha.

What a wonderfully sweet story! I love how Ivan identified each of the kids as a kind of animal in the beginning and the way you wrote his thought process was especially lovely. The characterization was spot on and I adore how Korea wanted to keep Ivan. Oh Korea, don't we all? XD

You've got such a lovely style of writing! I do hope to see more from you one day~ :3

Wow, everyone seems to like that scene! XD I kind of just... came to me when I was thinking about what games both Chinese and Russian children would understand. So glad you like it and my characterizations, I had some issues with those as well. ^^;

Korea is, by far, the most fun child to write about. 83 Isn't that the question everyone's asked sometime in their lifetime if something/someone follows you home? XD (I have issues with Hong Kong and Taiwan a lot more, lol.)

Awwww, thank you. That's so kind of you~ I used to write a lot more but ever since college started, my muses usually refuse to cooperate. Hopefully I'll write more about little!Ivan in the future. ^^

This was so pretty, so fragile. I was afraid that if I continued reading, it'd vanish like a popped soap bubble. I'm glad there are writers like you who can convey so much emotion in fiction. Thank you for sharing.

Wow, what a beautiful compliment! I'm glad you like it, I really did aim for the dream-like atmosphere. (My favorite genre is fantasy, if you can tell. XD) I always try to describe emotion from what I'd feel in that situation, so I'm glad you loved that too~ <3
