EDIT: I'll have you all know that during my surfing for really shiny black pants, I've wandered into the territory of sex game clothing. Oh god. It's rather appropriate, considering what Yami wears.

Holy crap guys, how do you even begin styling/sculpting Yami Yugi's hair? DDD8

The easiest way I'd go about making the puzzle is to build it up using sheets of chipboard (like the back of sketchbooks) and do the rounder details with paperclay (or cover the whole thing in paperclay once the base is made from chipboard and sand it smooth and carve in the details with a ruler and xacto knife). Then prime it and paint it with a few layers of some nice gold Testor's enamel. You can get the chain from a hardware store by the foot usually as playground chain.

There's loads of ways to do it, but I think this would yield good results easily :D

Hmmm thanks! That doesn't sound so bad. O_o Yeah I really wanted the etchings in there, but cardboard looks so... 3rd grade-ish in my mind. xD But I've seen cosplay people do amazing things with cardboard so who knows. I think I have to get over my fear of using hot glue or something.

I'm less worried about the Puzzle than I am about that damn wig. @_@;

Yeah, most of the people I've seen with awesome Yugi wigs have made it by frankensteining several wigs together. It's one of the hardest wigs you can do >..

Yeah cardboard and paperclay can look really cool. I made much of Balthiers gun and Sokka's boomerang and sheath this way (with a bit of plastic sheeting on top of it. You can get that at hardware stores too in the form of "for sale" signs and the like)

Instead of hotglue between the layers go for Super77 or other strong spray adhesive. It won't add any bulk and be a stronger hold :D

Yeah I thought as much. Damn me for liking the character so much. xDDD; The tutorials online are SO confusing and everyone has an insane # of ideas for how to do it, but few of the people have actually MADE the wig so they just speculate.

WOW! DANG. O_o; I'll need to practice a lot for that. I mainly used Sculptamold and it's been years since I've done anything with cardboard. Hot glue works, right? ._. Or is there something else I should be using?

Super77? That's for the wig, right? Where is this stuff? ^^; Also, what is this freezing spray that everyone keeps talking about in the tutorials? X.x;
