I never got into hardcore ficcage with Lord of the Rings, but due to how educated and mature the fans tend to be, the best fanfics I've ever read are all from the LOTR fandom. I'm just sharing some general stories for now, since I tend to prefer plot and dialogue over romance/slash/etc. for this ( Read more... )

You and your really hot icons (it was stripping!Prussia at one point, and Legolas before that)! Thanks for using HK I'm not ready to go pedo for him, but if you should ever chance to change it to a really hot Russia omfg I might just have to haet u again xD;

Oh, this reminds me, I've been scouring the internet for any trace of a certain LOTR fanfic writer whose stuff I used to love. Since you did these fic recs and you seemed to read a lot of lotr fic at one point, maybe you could help?

Have you ever come across Cathol-lynn and "The Early Days" (young Legolas-centric, posted in various fansites circa 2001)?

Hm, sadly, I've never heard of it or the author. :< That was probably before I got into LOTR, I didn't really start reading LOTR fanfics until 200...3? 2004? Did you try fanfiction.net?
