I like this very much. It is definitely different and I think that is what I like most about it. I did see this, however:

The younger one was a bit more cuter however.

Which means you just added a superlative to a superlative. It is either 'cuter' or 'more cute.'

But other than that little super-superlative, I loved it! Keep writing, please. I am desperate to find out what happens next.
