That is such a cute outfit! Someday I will get an outfit from you, it's just not going to be today. =^^=;

*shudder*

Frontpage? As a web developer, that program is the bane of my existence. Far as I know, it's very easy to pick up - like editing a Word document. The problem is that the code it generates is very messy and not at all standards-compliant. We get stuff from secretaries with Frontpage once in a while, and it's a nightmare to clean up. =~_~=;

If you're interested in learning HTML, a great place to start is Lissa Explains it All. Yes, it's aimed at kids, but it's a good way to pick up the beginning stuff. If you ever need any help, too, I'm always available online at my job. =o_o=; I'm usually not very busy, so I'd be happy to lend a hand (or update your site for you...mmm, HTML Nazi am I!). Heh.

But really, HTML looks very scary at first, but it's really powerful once you get used to how everything works.

Thank you V!!! I am going to read everything on the site you posted. :) I am glad to hear that Frontpage is easy, at least, that's really what I need. I feel better that can at least pick up the basic of what I need to get by.
I am so sick the limitations of my current crappy site. There is so little that I know how to do.
I know I just have to shut up and learn it lol.

You can do it! =^^= I'll be cheering for you.

If you get brave later, you can also check out W3Schools. It has some dynamic stuff so you can test out what a particular tag or style does on the fly. Once in a while I still come back to that site to check things while I'm on the job. =^_^=

Can't wait to see the new site...!

Beeeyooootiful! I love the frilly tulle. Yum.

That is *so* the corset pattern I need to finish Demelza's "Gigi" outfit. I've got some basic patterns to start with but aaaaaagh! *stabs self in eye* Drafting is hard.

Learning some basic html just takes a wee bit of patience. Don't be afraid of the code. Think of it as a knot of tangled chain necklaces. It looks like a mess but there actually is order and pattern in all that confusion. I haven't used frontpage, but I do use Dreamweaver regularly and it does a good job letting me edit quickly. But understanding the code will help when things go wrong :)

Augh! The other bane of my existence! XD I really need to stop being so spoiled. Frontpage and Dreamweaver are excellent tools for people who haven't squandered the past half dozen years of their life perfecting the art of web development. =^^=;;;

Haha!

*cough* Is 1995 long enough? Is nine years, five domains and five years on the job working with top tier customers enough? I suck at javascript though. It's like algebra. I will always suck.

Dreamweaver certainly mangles code a lot less than Frontpage, and is fairly intuitive.

I am anti-WYSIWYG and always shall be. =^^=;;; My boss threatened to uninstall my UltraEdit and leave me with Dreamweaver...I told him I'd go back to Notepad if he did that. >:)~

Dreamweaver is definitely a step up, and it's getting better, but I still don't think it can compete with knowing/writing the code yourself. A machine can only invent so much for you... =^^=;;; That's why the people at A List Apart are my heroes. =^.^=!

That's funny, I am teaching myself HTML and XHTML and CSS now, frantically, so I can redesign the website at work by August... yikes!

I've been looking at the Webmonkey website, and just today learned TONS with the tutorials at

Beautiful! I love that material, the colour makes my brain feel very nice...

Unless you want to find paid employment in the multimedia industry, I think you'd be fine learning something which is good enough for general site updating then you can still have time for making gorgeous outfits!

I don't know frontpage at all. I'd really recommend Dreamweaver. After a couple of sessions with someone showing you how to use it, it's a lovely, intuitive program, easy to use and it makes site updating very fast and uncomplicated.
