This journal exists, right now at least, for one reason and one reason only: the new Star Trek movie. There is no compelling reason for me to clog up the Internet with my thoughts on any other subject. Yes? So I can't blame technological barriers for the total absence of comments here, then. Some other possible culprits:

1. A universal preference for lurking vs. commenting among those I've told about this blog
2. Not having told enough people about this blog/extreme ambivalence about PR and self-promotion
3. Not having told the right subset of Trek-lovin' people about this blog/fear of the very community I supposedly long to find
4. This blog is simply too estoric/misguided in intent/boring to be worthy of comment

While I figure it out, I'll continue to be here at least once a week, talking to myself and any passersby who might show their faces. Anyway, I can't say I'm not often relieved by the silence. Good Internet, nice Internet, that doesn't talk back!
