Conceal the unhappy truth as long as it is possible - I know it cannot be long.

What unhappy truth, you ask? Well, I was working on a scene in my Spock/Uhura fan fiction piece the other day when a weird feeling of deja vu came over me. My (borrowed) protagonist, a man of dignity and reserve who works hard to keep his emotions contained in channels that will be acceptable to the community in which he grew up, was going to have ( Read more... )

WHERE is this fanfiction you're writing, girl? I came across your LJ googling and you are my new thing. We are two peas in a pod.

Dude, seriously? You are too kind - thank you. It doesn’t look like you’re on LJ, but if there’s someplace else I can read anything of yours, let me know and I’ll take a reciprocal look.

The Spock/Uhura fic mentioned in this entry is in a file somewhere, maybe half-finished - I must admit that since about September of last year, Harry Potter has completely hijacked my fandom energies. But my Star Trek fixation is only hibernating; I’m sure it will re-emerge at some point. With it might come the Spock fic, if it doesn’t appall me too much on rereading.

In the meantime, I’ve been consumed by another fic; this one is all about Snape, and it’s much closer to completion. Another month might do it, if my IRL work and work-related angst could be made to get off my back. So, if Snape-centered fanfiction holds any interest for you, stay tuned…!

Why, thank you! If truth be told, I have no idea what an inertial dampener is, or why one would need to further dampen something that was already afflicted with inertia. But anything that links Spock and Darcy in a secret brotherhood of silliness is something I can automatically get on board with.
