Thank you - it was probably a bit rash, but I've always fancied giving it a go .

It's a bit daunting though, when you look at the standard of the other artist's work.

And thank you so much again for posting that pic of Mr C and his 'Dumbo' :0)

I do hope you can finish your Pros writing at some stage, especially 'Action Squad' which sounds like my cup of tea and, as you say, you're nearly there!

And yes, very good to see you've signed up as a BB artist

(Speaking of Helen Raven, just reread her masterpiece, The Same River.)

You know, I've just suggested elsewhere that tinturtle might like to check that one out.

The Same River is disturbing, but I can't believe that back in the day it garnered so much flak.

And yes 'Action Squad' is one I'd like to see finished - especially as I haven't posted anything new for a while and it's so very nearly there.

Signing up as an artist was probably a bit rash - and it will suck bandwidth from some of my other projects - but I've always wanted to give it a go :0)

I know what you mean. Given the reactions of other people, I always feel slightly guilty when I'm not as horrified as they are by something.

Hello.
I believe too that the poor quality of the early tapes probably affected all three protagonists' eye colours in some ways. Before buying the restored Network DVDs I had watched Pros on some really terrible-quality tapes or digital files and I'd suspected early on that some of the colours in general (not just eye colours) were somehow 'distorted'. Doyle looked more green-eyed and Bodie more brown-eyed; whereas in the restored DVDs Doyle's eyes looked somewhere between light blue and grey, and Bodie's sort of dark blue, with some variation according to light. After all, especially eye colours in the green/blue/grey palette seem more prone to changing nuances in certain light conditions than brown eyes even in real life, never mind on film *g* Plus eye colour can even change depending on which clothes the person's wearing etc.

I'm so sorry I missed your comment, especially when it is so interesting. I've only just spotted it !

I've only ever seen Pros as broadcast on TV or on the Contender DVDs - which look pretty much the same as the original TV (part of the reason why I have such a soft spot for those DVDs).

But I think you're right about all the colours, not just the eyes, being affected. And about eyes changing colour generally - and depending on clothes.

I remember once saying that to a friend of mine, and I held up a jumper near to my face, to show her what I meant - and she was really surprised at the colour shift in my eyes.

Apparently, mine also change colour depending on how I'm feeling - so that's another thing.

And very appositely, I've just posted about Mr S and his eye colour being given as green...so the plot thickens :0)
