After another bruisng run in with byslantedlight I've had enough.

I love Pros and I always will, but I am fed up of having my head torn off. I am now saying more formally what I have for many months been doing in practice and retreating from the Lj Pros community.

I will continue my commitment to the ci5_boxoftricks Pros BB as best I can and I will keep up with ali15son's journal ( Read more... )

As I'm sure you know, a lot of people have had similar experiences in various fandoms. It's certainly why I'm no longer active in Pros other than Box of Tricks but that doesn't mean I love the show any less. I look forward to your posts which are always very thoughtful and I enjoy some of your other fandom 'likes' too.

I've been thinking about CI5_Boxoftricks, I'd already committed to giving this year's BB a go - I might have to bail in July if I can't get the mandatory number of words written or can't honestly put my hand on my heart and say I'll have a completed story by the Sept posting deadline (it's not fair on the artists to muck them about) - but I did want to honour my commitment for this year if at all possible ( ... )

I think you'll find a lot of exiled Pros fans... message me if you want more info as I don't have the time or inclination to go into it all here and now. And the BB is certainly somewhere people can just come together annually.

I'm glad you think that would be alright, because I do enjoy the Pros BB - and I did want to stay part of it. Thought I might try my hand as an artist one year (although they're a prodigiously talented bunch, so it's a bit of a daunting prospect!).
