So, I was doing some tag wrangling on my Lj - and ran across a link to a post I did a while back in memory of the always missed

ci5hq's Wednesday Morning at the Cinema. It seems so hard to believe that Minori has not been with us for so long

The chap with the curly hair is Raymond Doyle (played by Martin Shaw) and the chap with the short dark hair is his partner who goes by the name of Bodie (played by Lewis Collins) - like Illya and Napoleon, their agency is fictional (CI5) - and the programme is The Professionals which aired in the late seventies and ended just before the Return movie aired in the US.
Lewis Collins knew the McCartney family growing up in Liverpool and had some chart success himself in the 60s before going on to become an actor.
But you're so right, you don't need to know any of that to enjoy the fab song - or the fellow who wrote it ! :0)

Pros has been really lucky with its vidders- I have heaps of them saved.
I'm sure you've already run across boddiecuddle's vids - she's not active in fandom at the moment due to the bereavement she explains in her Lj, but her stuff is fab :0)

I have some fav MFU vids as well, and I love your YouTube list, I keep going over it to see if there are any gems I've missed. I didn't realise you had an MFU one as well, so I shall defo check that out.
There are some Pros vids on AO3 of course, which aren't on YouTube (my single contribution to the genre is hosted on vimeo), and some on the CI5 Circuit Archive, and I'm not sure about Mary Van Deusen's stuff.
The crack_van has some, of course, but you'd know better than me if they're all on YouTube.

I love a good vid, and I so admired Minori's work - and she was such a positive presence in the fandom.

It's one of the iconic Brit TV shows of the 70s - every Father's Day the shops are full of boxsets!
And it continually gets referenced - in the most unexpected of places. My best mate in school was a huge Starsky and Hutch fan, and I have bought myself an S&H boxset, but it was always 'the Lads' for me :0)
