I really like the idea I came up with, but it needs a bit of telling. Won't be a short one, and I daren't commit if I haven't got a good deal of the way through it by the July deadline because experience has shown that if I have no time now, I'll have no time later.

Would be nice not to be either exhausted or ill in my spare time.

But if I can't do the BB, I can maybe do some other stuff - even if it's just archiving stuff on AO3.

Thanks for the good words :0).

Oh, no! Sorry that life is working you over at the moment - but you have to take care of you first above all.

And I totally get where you're coming from with work; I've been getting about 3 hrs sleep / night this week, because my management doesn't want to hire enough people to actually do the work. (Well, it's more corporate culture than my direct management, but.)

After a certain point, when you're putting in all this effort and no one really cares (or they just give you more), and it's taking a toll, you have to ask yourself why.

Plus you can't do the things that make you you - and, mind, more productive - so it's not good.

There's always next year, so don't despair. But make sure you carve out some personal time in all that.

I really thought it would ease up after March, and the work did - but unfortunately I'm now working with someone who appears to have a mediaeval approach to mental health issues.

Rest assured, I'm doing everything I can to improve both my work situation and my ropey mental health.

Really hope your workload eases up, and you don't end up walking slap bang into a brick wall, as I did, when mine levelled out.

Thanks for dropping by, and for your kind words. It's nice to feel supported :0)
