Okay, here comes some short and sweet blather:

In the midst of a skull-splitting sinus headache, I watched A Christmas Story tonight and do you know what? That movie holds up. It's one of the coolest idylls ever put together, moreso because it is a patchwork of bits and pieces from Jean Shephard's brilliant articles and essays. His voice-over

However, I swear A Christmas Story is a guy thing. I have never "gotten" that movie -- and I think enjoying it would require me being drunk or hopped on sinus headache meds.

And, well, I "got" it by the 3rd viewing. Hubby and BiL and I could have kept the marathon on TV for all 24 hours.

I'm sorry about Nico. Loosing a loved one is so hard. Justin's family lost 2 dogs this year, so instead of presents for Xmas, we're all donating money to the main shelters in their dogs' names.

In happier news, I have seen A Christmas Story approximately eleventy billion times, and it never stops being funny to me. We'll put the 24-hour marathon on as background noise on Christmas, and I will LOL every time I pay attention to it.
