Criminal Minds Main List Chapter 1 Hotch followed Chad to the bedroom and leaned against the doorframe while he unpacked his gymbag.
“You want to vent?”
“Why?”
“I know that look. When you left, you looked like you wanted to kill somebody.”
“I took it out on a punching bag. A lot healthier option.”
“Yeah.” For a while Hotch looked lost for words. “Listen, I…”
“What?”
“I just wanted you to know that I understand it. The whole big brother thing. Protective instincts.”
“It was a long time ago, and I didn’t beat him up as badly as I wanted.”
“I didn’t mean that. Sometimes I wish I had been closer with Sean. When he hit puberty I had already moved out.”
“Well, we were close and it didn’t help. I knew that Bobby was bad news and he didn’t listen to me. Not that he ever listens to me anyway.”
“Sounds just like Sean.”
“Yeah.” Chad slammed down the lid of the laundry hamper. “But it’s frustrating to know he’s gonna hit his head in the wall and you can’t do anything about it.”
“Was it really that bad? Their break-up?”
“Worse. Cain was like a zombie for months.”
“That explains the control issues in relationships.”
“Babe….”
“Sorry. When you analyse behaviour all the time, it’s hard to switch it off.”
“I know.” Chad pulled his T-shirt off. “Analyse this for me: I’m shirtless, covered in dry sweat and going to the shower. What do I want?”
“Company?”
“Good little profiler.”
“Little?”
“Don’t start that again….” Chad grabbed Hotch by his collar and pulled him to the bathroom.

“You’re unbelievable…..” Reid looked seriously pissed off. Considering his stripy pyjamas, it was a real accomplishment. “We’re leaving tomorrow?”
“Yeah.” Morgan grinned and continued packing his bag.
“And you requested vacation time on my behalf.”
“Yeah.”
“And you didn’t tell me.”
“I knew you’d say yes.”
“You didn’t!”
“I did. Blue or pink?”
“What?”
“Briefs.”
“Are you packing my stuff?”
“Yeah.” Morgan pulled a punch of T-shirts from the drawer. “I’m gonna make sure you actually pack some beach stuff. I’m not letting you go on the beach in corduroy pants, grandpa-shirt and a sweatervest.”
“Do you want to go alone?”
“Fine, pack yourself. But I’m confiscating all your ties.”
“My ties!”
“You’re not taking any ties with you.”
“Okay, pack for me.”
“Really?”
“Sure. But I’ll pick your clothes.”
Morgan stilled. The expression on his face was pure horror.
“What would you pick for me?”
“Those leather pants you wore for Garcia’s costume party.”
“Are you kidding?”
“And maybe that fishnet top she send you for Christmas.”
“You wouldn’t…..”
“I would. Unless you ask me nicely.”
“How nicely?”
“Very nicely.” Reid couldn’t suppress his grin anymore. “You can start right away.”
“With the fishnet top?” Morgan’s was now wearing an identical grin. “And the leather pants?”
“If you want.”
“And then what….?”
“Then you can take Clooney out for his walk.”
“No way!”
“Just kidding.”
“You better be! But if you want me to do something nice for you, I could model my new beachwear for you.....”
“What do you have?”
“I got us both the same shorts.”
“What kind?”
“I’ll show you. I found them from the internet.” Morgan pulled two pairs of dark blue shorts from the bag.
“Those are pretty nice actually.”
“And the butt is even better.” Morgan turned the shorts so Reid could see the backside. The text “Property of FBI” was written across the backside in large, glittery letters.

“You know….” Hotch sighed when he finally wobbled out of the shower and into the bedroom. “My weekends off are a lot more active now that you’re here.”
“What did you usually do when you were alone the for the whole weekend?” Chad took a towel and started drying Hotch`s back. “Work?”
“How did you know?”
“That was too easy….It doesn’t really take a profiler to put the pieces together.” Chad nodded at his own judgement.
“Well, I didn’t have that many distractions, unless it was my weekend with Jack.”
“So I’m a distraction?”
“A very positive distraction.”
“Good.” Chad smiled. “Let’s get dressed, I’m hungry.”
“We could go to that Thai place we tried last month.” Hotch suggested and picked up his pants from the bedroom floor. “Wait a sec.”
“What?”
“I got a message.” Hotch snapped his phone open. “From Hailey.”
“What does she want?”
“Some kind of a family emergency, she asks if I can take Jack for the weekend.”
“We can pick him up and then have lunch.”
“You don’t mind?”
“I don’t mind as long as he’ll sleep in his own bed.”
“Don’t worry, we had a long discussion about those nightly walk-ins.”
“One time was enough.” Chad stated. “I don’t wanna be responsible for scarring that kid for the rest of his life.”
