Wow. This is a stunning portrayal of Konan and Pain's history, the horrific scenes that probably did happen between the time Jiraiya left and the time we first see them in canon, and Konan and Pain's deepening and gradually more complex relationship, and the purpose they've been given and taken on. Konan's experiences throughout this fic are heartbreaking and mesmerizing, cutting deep and across a wide array of emotions throughout this story, and reading this tale from her perspective gives a very powerful and real human element to both her experiences as well as Nagato/Pain's that resonate incredibly well throughout this story.

Fantastic fic!

I'm extremely curious as to what Konan's and Pein's actual canonical backstory is. I hope whatever it is, it's sufficiently tragic, you know? And I really hope Pein is actually Nagato, because I think Pein's personality still seems fairly Nagato-ish in some ways (as I pointed out in this fic, er).

I'm really glad you had such a positive opinion of the story. I have enjoyed writing it. Cheers!

aj03ja;l3j0ajs;lfekas;jfela. This is such a telling history for Pain and Konan, and it makes so much sense. I suck at reviews, but your fics are so good. ;o;

XD; Aw, no worries. I appreciate all reviews! And I'm kind of obsessed with Pein/Konan, so I'm always thrilled to find others who like it. ♥ I find it to be such a tragic-romantic pairing? I am very happy you enjoyed. :)
