This is supposed to be nherizu 's and sheilaluv 's birthday gift. But I write slower than a turtle. Am posting the--rough, unfinished, crappy--beginning here and counting on you guys to beat my ass to finish it.

( He stayed awake, mostly; recalling in his mind Mark Twain’s description of the children of Western America lying in bed and counting the whistle of transcontinental train going by the night. He counted the crash of waves, one by one as they hit the shores, until he could not count anymore and sleep washed over him, too tired to dream, feeling like a child all over again. )

The style and pacing is nice, unhurried, felt like step-by-step gimana gitu XD
Tadinya di atas gw bertanya2 kenapa Lavi reer Allen with "Walker" but I was all "Oooh" at the first flashback or so, so yep, I like it that you didn't explain thing from the beginning but just little by little in the middle.
aaannnd I still like those little details, like the umm, i dunno, random details like the carpet over the table thing, or the bed that was ready to break down and all. Gives the fic more life :3
