I liked this a lot. I'm telling ya, you've got some great talent to describe acid trips, lol.
Is Paul slowly becoming "aware" of his feelings for John? Dear lord, I can only imagine the angst if the story goes on in the way we know it. But I love angst, so if that's the case I'm quite fine with it! :P
I also loved the Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds bit, loved it. And the fact that they felt they "were the rain"... beautiful.
Lol, I should put that on my resume. :} Oh yes, much angst ahoy. We hit the angst iceburg when John first realized his feelings and we'll be sinking for a while. IT's a really good thing you like angst. Though there will be pockets of sweetness and adorable moments for sure! Ah, I'm glad you liked Lucy. It's kind of a delicate thing to do when you tamper with songs.
I think this was my favorite chapter so far! your imagery of the trips and the funny dialogue made me smile so much. I love the little jokes you sprinkled in there too, especially the one near the end about how Paul is older than John (hehe).
Really? Alright! I'm glad you like the recent stuff so much. :} They're such funny guys, lol, and it's so great to know I'm not the only one laughing. Thanks so much~
Thanks! I think that's one of the biggest things that change when people age. They learn the importance of other people and that it's okay to lean on others. Pride is easy when you're young, but when you're older and you've been through so much. . . . ah, you sum it up well. :} Drug logic is so much fun to write. I have a bit more coming up. John needs to be needed. :} Lol, I just re-read Alice, so wonderful, and I can promise this won't be her last appearance. Well, '67 is just around the river bend so Linda will soon be in our little story.
Poor John . . . He's got a lot of tormenting ahead. I'm glad I'm getting the emotion right. Thanks again for reading~
Aw, that "I'm older than you so I can stay up longer" joke was adorable. The imagery you created during the trip was beautiful and I love that image of them out in the rain (along with the consequential cuddling under blankets thanks to Cynthia). Plus, you had some delicious angst for Paul to work through beforehand (perhaps I'm a bit sick to be enjoying it so much in the story, haha)
Lol, geez, John is really out of his depth. Paul's going to laughing long and hard about things that don't make any sense. Hopefully they won't ship him off to the loony-bin. :} Oh I am a very sick person for writing this, so I could never judge. Lol, this is a wonderful malady though . . . Thank you for sharing it with me.
