You ain't ever been blue (until you've had that mood 'indigo')

Dear Naruto and Sasuke, thanks for all your help recording and producing.

I took the master to a friend of mine at a copy shop. I only wanted two tapes but apparently he had to make a batch of 30 anyway. Yours are in your mail box.

The rest are in a box in the common room. If you want one, take it. They're the ones labeled 'Indigo'. It's ( Read more... )

my mind is
a big hunk of irrevocable nothing which touch and
taste and smell and hearing and sight keep hitting and
chipping with sharp fatal tools
in an agony of sensual chisels i perform squirms of
chrome and execute strides of cobalt
nevertheless i
feel that i cleverly am being altered that i slightly am
becoming something a little different, in fact
myself
Hereupon helpless i utter lilac shrieks and scarlet
bellowings.

who knows if the moon's
a balloon,coming out of a keen city
in the sky--filled with pretty people?
(and if you and i should

get into it,if they
should take me and take you into their balloon,
why then
we'd go up higher with all the pretty people

than houses and steeples and clouds:
go sailing
away and away sailing into a keen
city which nobody's ever visited,where

always
it's
Spring)and everyone's
in love and flowers pick themselves

They're both by E. E. Cummings. You can choose.

To be perfectly frank, both options are breaking my heart.

Maybe you're just reading them wrong. Look underneath the underneath, or whatever Teach is always waxing poetic about.

Waxing poetic. Ha. Ha.

Well, I'm terrified over what they mean, I don't think I can see anything else in them other than my fears. I'd rather you'd be straight with me for a second.

It turned out all right. I was concerned since these are girl songs and Naruto and I are not girls. But I don't think either of us got in the way of what you were trying to do.

Girl songs?

I'm happy with how it came together. They'll all just kind of...me, and I get along well with you guys so that came through in the production as well.

It's not a bad thing. I don't mind girls, so I don't mind girl songs. By that I mean- songs that seem to have a more...

...feminine feeling to them. I'm not complaining, Temari. It's just that industrial is very macho. At least on the surface. That's my background, so it was a concern. The producer is responsible for making the musician's ideas turn into something that works the way they intended.

...

That's a better way of putting it. They're very personal songs. More than being an issue of you being a girl (and the fact that I am not a girl), is the fact that we're very different people.

But the point is that it worked.

Yes, that is a better way of putting it, please remember it in the future.

It did work, and thank you for that. I really love the piano work you did on "You had Time".
