Where's my real vacation?

Vacation is kind of a joke in my family, because we never really go on vacations. We go to my Grandmother's house (which she no longer lives in since she has been remarried) to spend a few weeks at VA Beach basically setting up a second home complete with boring family meals, hours spent reading and listening to music and the general crankiness and

Oooh, I'm sorry!! And I'm not sure if I should say this, because if it doesn't make you feel better then it might annoy you, but at least you get a vacation...I don't ever remember going on a traditional, 1 week+ escape. The last time we did anything like that (excepting staying overnight at my grandma's, which doesn't count IMO) was when my dad had to go to Arizona for work, and we all drove with him and made a weekend out of it. :-) Soo.....you can take from that what you will, only I hope you won't get mad at me for playing the voice of reason. :-/ Feel free to tell me to shut up!
