Apparently a dachshund tried to mate with my lab Lily. Ewwwwwww! Not that it was anywhere close to working... the dachshund, belonging to a visiting great aunt and uncle, would apparently jump on her back when she was lying on the floor and 'go to town' (my mother's words). OMG I bet she is traumatized! I obviously need to be there to protect her.

Your poor doggie! O_O
Ketchup is different? Really? Hmm. Interesting.
Wow. That bitch needs a dose of her own medicine. I myself have had to deal with many like her in my restaurant. It definitely isn't just Americans... it's just assholes in general. It just stinks that someone would go over to another country and represent the US like that. I suppose she doesn't see it that way... but that's exactly what you do when you travel... you represent our country in a way. You set an impression to others of what our people must be like. It's rather unfair, but that's how it is. :-/

Manfred. That just cracks me up.
I never know how to deal with beggars either. I always walk into one when I'm just carrying my purse and mobile phone so the excuse of "I have no money" sounds so hollow and futile. I feel like a giant poster for materialism when confronted by someone on the streets. It's probably best just to buy "The Big Issue" whenever you see a seller as then you know that the money isn't just going to be spent on drugs or drink.
The thing that really annoys me is when you see a beggar with a dog. I mean, there are obviously exceptions and I'm sure they must be lonely but WTF, you can't even provide for yourself, what have you got a dog for? I always end up giving them money to buy the dog some food but whether the animal sees the benefit I'm not sure.
Do they not close early on Sunday in America? *jealous much*
Woah, scary lady. She really needs to calm down.

LOL! It's by iconzicons. She made THIS SET. They're too funny, I'm in love with, "Tonight we dine... you decide. But no Mexican, I had Mexican yesterday. No, no, you pick.."
LMAO
We have Sunday Trading Laws and they suck big time. It's a conspiracy forcing us to spend quality time with our families to keep us subdued, passive and well fed. I hate Sunday's, there's nothing to do here!

Most of the American customers I've had have been lovely, it's the British ones you have to watch out for. Especially the Sale lot. [cowers]
The 24/7 thing baffled me in the states. Going to IHOP at god knows what time in the morning was an eye opener. Bigger grocery stores like Asda (notably owned by Walmart now) open 24/7 but no one in their right mind really feels the need for groceries at 10pm usually !

*facepalm* Well, I guess you know what not to do next time... poor you! Hey, I don't know if there's a difference between San Diego beggars and Oxford beggars, but here in SD we're encouraged not to give anything to them, partly because of the drink/drugs issue (if you ask if you can buy them food here they mostly say "no, I'd rather have the money"), but also because most of them are RICH. We stopped feeling sorry for the beggars in our area when my mom worked at the bank and they'd come in depositing thousands of dollars a week. Doyle's The Man With the Twisted Lip was a very true story indeed!
I dunno, I think closing early sounds kind of cool. But I guess that's just because we never really go places on the weekend- that's b&w movie watchin' time! (I have no life, *l*)
I mean it was funny in a way, but really embarrassing for really every American ever to have someone from our ( ... )
