Somehow the most pointless things are the most interesting to me. Like yesterday I saw two pigeons having sex. And it basically made me want to throw up, but I knew I would always remember it--or at least remember longer than a lot of other, more pleasant and important, things that happened to me these past few days. Getting to the reading rooms when they open is the best way to assure yourself of a useful seat. Of course, it's not nearly as atmospheric as the old BL, but that's another story. Oxford's a fun city -- I remember getting quite squiffy on strawberry wine my first day there.

Okay, so I'm go to California next week for a family reunion, and I'll be staying at my grandparents' house most of the time and they have a pool, and my grandma has already said that the agenda for 90% of the time will be swimming (yaaaay I look like a fat cow in a swimsuit). So I have one swimsuit but it's totally ugly and I haven't worn it in a couple years and when I tried it on the top piece was totally too small. So I got to go out and have fun buying a swimsuit *blank stare*. I ended up getting a royal blue onepiece, it was the cheapest thing I could find that wasn't completely ugly (and it still cost $40, wtf!). I hate my thighs, though, so tonight I went to Target to get some sweats type shorts to go with the swimsuit. I didn't try them on cause I thought "I don't need to try these on, they're lazy pants! Oh, and I'll also get a smaller size than I normally would because lazy pants are *always* big and I want to up my self esteem". So I get home and they are tight. I mean, ( ... )
