scaring myself a bit

I guess this is me asking for some help or personal stories from you guys out there in the huge world of the internet. I went into the ER last week and was diagnosed with a hemorrhagic ovarian cyst. I wasn't told how large it was or how to prevent myself from getting any more of them. I was rather disappointed in the doctor's service, quite frankly ( Read more... )

Hey, thought I'd reply to your question because I just figured it might help in someway. Not sure how, but still. I figured I'd give it a shot, you know? So... First off, my story? *snort* Where to begin. I'm in and out of hospital all the time at the moment because my immune system is pretty much dead. I'm allergic to so much that I've lost two stone (28lbs) in the last two months. I can't eat anything. Lol. So, should I eat something I'm allergic to, my immune system goes to battle that and I normally get a cold, which develops into pneumonia. To cut it short, that means I get hospitalised and shoved into the beautiful and so very welcoming isolation ward, where I'm not allowed visitors, books or my laptop, until the doctor feels that my immune system is back on track, and even then, I'm just then shoved into the main ward for a few days. It kinda sucks. Lol ( ... )

Well, I was told not to see the female gyno who was on duty during my ER trip by the nurse. He just looked at me and said "You DON'T want to see her." So I was sent to a guy, who discussed the causes of my pains and what home remedies may help (now and in the future). We talked meds, and I gave suggestions as I was going to school for pharmacy originally. He said much the same you did, but that caffeine NOW, with the cyst being where it is, actually may irritate it. Well, more irritate AROUND it, but it still hurts, so w/e. Caffeine later, once the cyst is gone, may actually help me not to develop new ones. I got thrown in birth control, so that SHOULD keep these from happening as often ( ... )

Ah, well if you were advised against it by someone who actually knows them, I'd follow their advice! Lol. And yeah, forgot that caffeine can sometimes aggravate cysts at first. It is a good natural remedy though. Which most people either don't believe or don't actually know. Shame really. Lol ( ... )

When I was in for my perodinitis (just a big 'ol abdominal infection, I was on morphine and these strange antibiotics. They'd put my IV in the side of my wrist because it kept backflowing, and I had a runny nose. I couldn't blow my nose, and I was FREAKING out about it.... at 2:30 in the morning. But all I ever hear about it is that I declared my mother couldn't blow my nose for me because my left nostril was 27. I have no idea what I was talking about. ha ha ha. That, and I ran into all these people after I got out that said, "Oh, it's nice to see you healthy!" and I'd have seen them like five years before, only to find out they came to visit me and had hour-long conversations I had no recollection of. I hope no one recorded those. There's no telling what I said ( ... )
