Facebook Defiance Continues

Jan 30, 2009 11:11

It always strikes me how I am so vehemently against joining Facebook.

Then I have a client tell me that "it all started when he wrote in my Honesty Box..." and I remember.

Must train self to not respond with, "Oh Jesus Christ are you kidding?"

facebook, counseling

Well, it had to be explained to me as well. The Honesty Box allows you to anonymously respond to other people....sort of like what our friend brazen_star WISHES LJ had.

In defense of Facebook...
I resisted for a long time too, and they really serve two separate purposes. You'll understand better when you break down and finally get one. ;-)

Um...yeah. You should train yourself not to say that.

You shouldn't even have to do that, because you're supposed to be a fucking therapist.

Ugh, I was right to suspect every one of my therapists. They're just ordinary fucked up people who judge their patients.

Ha! Who stole your cheerios away when you were a baby?

The most obvious will be explained here and now:

Creating fake journals to say something that you would never say as/in your own person, yet holding the world responsible in being "fucked up" is quite obviously... fucked up.

Here. A box of cheerios. I promise to protect and defend you from anyone who tries to steal them away from you.
