Curious Incident was such an easy read...light and pretty nice. I say start there.

When I first read your post, I read it in this tone that indicated I was a beginning reader or something. It was great. Made me laugh out loud. "Start easy and then we'll work up to the harder stuff, okay?" I actually felt two pats on my head. It was awesome.
