since i've been gone...

I visited the University of Wisconsin-Madison campus a couple of weeks ago. My sister plans to attend there next month if she receives decent enough financial aid. She's smart, extracurriculars-oriented, and could've gone somewhere in-state for a great deal, I'm sure, but her heart is set on being a Badger (not like she isn't one already ;). I'll keep my fingers crossed that you get the job at the spa/teahouse! That sounds like a pretty cool place to work even though it's not exactly what you want to be doing.

Thank you. :) The owner still hasn't called, but you never know.

I hope you get the job!
So, I'm thinking since I'm going to be busy the next two weekends, if you would like to try and plan something for next month?
Happy Birthday, Joseph!

Thanks, it'd be nice if I did.

Yeah, sure. I can call you near the end of the month to talk up some ideas.

He says thank you. ;)

Did your sister already get the official yes/no by now? I so hope she gets in if she wants to so much and with your parents trying so hard so if you haven't heard yet, I'll keep my fingers crossed. How did the university look btw? And how was the roadtrip?

I hope you get the Spa/Teahouse job. If the hours are good then that sounds good. And a nice easy job sounds good too. I do hope that soon enough you find a job that has more to do with photography though, but this one sounds nice for now.

You haven't fully decided on if you're going to get your bachelor's in graphic design?

Congrats to Joseph! Hope you get to see him soon too :D

And ohhhh that outfit looks awesome. Not something I could pull off though, but oh soooo pretty! And I think you could do too, so I hope you find that for cheaper ;) And if you get a new haircut/color you do realize you need to share a picture, right?

Well, it was pretty bad news for her today. She found out she would have to take out $20,000 in loans, just for this year. My dad wrote to the president of the school today to see if anything could come out of begging. lol. It's a nice-looking campus, very big and social which my sister thought was seriously awesome. The roadtrip was quick, about 2.5 hours each way, so it'd be far enough from home and yet close if she wanted to go back for a weekend or break.

I'm thinking I didn't get the job, as there's still no answer. But that's okay; I just wasn't meant to have it. No hard feelings. :)

I'm about 90% sure I want to go into design of some kind. Otherwise I could go into business. I'd like to start my own one day.

Thanks, I plan to. :D

That model has my basic features, so I really do think I could wear something like that. I found alike shoes from the outfit for very cheap already. ;) And of course!

Did anything already come out of the begging? Did your sister manage to figure something out or does she have to go and try something else?

Unfortunately, no. :( The president was moved by the letter, but he gave it to the financial aid head, and she said there wasn't a way. Our family isn't poor enough to have the non-resident fee waived so basically, middle-class families get screwed in something like this. Though my sister coped with it eventually; she's attending community college like I did and is going to apply to the University of Illinois to go in the spring. She should get in, and the tuition will be MUCH cheaper.
