Reno had just seen one Rookie off, and then he was picking up the phone to speak to another one.
Sometimes, it was almost easy to forget that, in a strictly 'Turk' sense, he didn't actually have any Rookies of his own at all.
"Yo!"
Always the 'yo.' It covered well for the fact that he was still in a settling sort of funk after the talk he'd had with Ino last night about Midgar. And about life. And about coping.
"Nah," Reno replied, shrugging even though she couldn't hear it. "Mako's usually got me up pretty early. I think I got the one nocturnal pet that likes to be awake just as much during the day, zoto."
This was because Mako was a little touched in his wee ferrety head.
