my Goblet of Fire review

Nov 18, 2005 23:31

Watched in Gateway and here's what I think...

NON SPOILERS! NON SPOILERS! NON SPOILERS!:The film was better than I expected. The effects were cool and just plain astounding. Newell really brought GoF into life, with more beautiful landscapes, more real-looking 3d graphics, and a lot more thrilling scenes! Yes, it was darker than the last PoA ( Read more... )

I immediately skipped to the paragraph where you mentioned Krum. I did so intentionally by using the "Find (in this page)" function. Because. I. SQUEE. At. The. Sound. of His. Name.

I caught the Krum fever and I'm on 40 degrees. Shit, I've been scribbling his name on small pieces of paper and googling pictures of him on every SEARCH BAR I could type on. I never did this to Malfoy, and that's saying something.

LOL! Dude, that's totally understandable BELIEVE ME!

I think it's because Stan is older and has a LOT more of sex appeal than Tom (though I LOVE Tom very much too. I'm selfish bitch you see XD). But GOD, he's just so fucking droolable and much shaggable!

I loved the scene where Dan was crying over Cedric's body, too. I was almost weeping myself (and I never did that when Cedric died in the book!). It felt so real...I think Wormtail, instead of Voldemort, killing Cedric was a bit of an irksome detail. As well as both Patil twins being in Gryffindor, and Barty Crouch, J.R. being the Longbottom's torturers.

I just gotta say that the twins were definitely one of the bigger highlights of the film. I can just worship Kloves or Newell for giving them such wonderful, hilarious scenes in it. ^^

I didn't feel like crying in the book too when Cedric died. But Dan really surprised me in that scene!

Oh, he did? I thought it was Voldemort. Ah, I didn't notice, but if it is then it really is irksome! >:O

I thought for a moment Steve Kloves and the producers would actually get the story right for about... say, 80% of the book. Heh, was that asking too much? XD

The twins I love so much! If they're not in it the whole movie would be so SAD!
