tech help needed

I have documents I need to share between to groups. I can't afford to licenses for sharepoint so I was thinking google groups would offer something.... seems I can't update files and save them for everyone to view.
Any suggestions on how to share files without purchasing sharepoint?

ehh ended up doing google docs.... it will work. =) thank you very very much for your reply!! btw, love the drawings... you should make a calendar!
