Oh, gawdz, I think my heart just broke. Ow ow ow. So damned well done. I love His Dark Materials' universe, and of course Torchwood, so this is just all kinds of awesome.

Thank you! I love HDM crossovers, and I might have to play with this particular one a lot more. Torchwood daemons are such fun (even as they make me horribly sad).
