Very nice. I love seeing Jack interact with the people who dragged him into Torchwood. I think you have a really excellent sense of who he was then. Still more of the "real" Jack, but evolving toward TW!Jack as well. Great job.

Thank you. Jack's history is one of my favorite things to play with, and there's certainly no shortage of things to explore. I'm glad you liked it!

Jack gasped himself, for different reasons entirely, ad pressed
Missed the "n" on "and".

I like Jack's desire to make it better and ultimately, his denial.

This is great! Just a bit different from the norm and interesting insight into Jack's early Torchwood career. Lovely characterization for Alice, too!

And thank you for the compliment too! It's such a fun time period to write Jack in, and I love Alice, even if there's so little screentime to base her characterization on.
