I keep changing my mind. Argh. What I'll probably end up doing is making up a sketch and then choosing colors that kind of go with both: a mix of black and green.
I err on the side of screen colours since it's what the general public recalls about the character, also since I prefer to dress as the character not the actor, if you know what I mean. But you have very cleverly covered your bases here!
I think I might end up with a hybrid, doing the coat mostly black but with some green pieces and sleeves (and use the light green as lining since in one scene it definitely looks like the coat is lined with a light color).
But as for the snow, driving today in all the melty muck made me long for Saturday's dry cold. :(
Since last month posting my revised list, it has been revised again and part of it is ALL YOUR FAULT! *cough*Black Widow*cough*
I'm with Magpie that I usually try to shoot for screen colors, because when I've gone for actual colors, I'm ultimately unsatisfied with photos of the costume.
Yay, Black Widow! Now I have two costumes to bug you about!
How's Celeborn, btw?
Now that you mention that about photos, I think I'm leaning that way too. My new plan is to keep some green but do the coat mostly black to go more for the on-screen look.
Celeborn has damask that's ironed and ready to be cut once I figure out what the hell I'm doing wrong with the rest of the problems I'm having in the mockup, which is something he didn't have before last week. But he's going to have to chill for a couple of days while I do a jewelry commission and put my office back together for the 500th time in the past month.
