I have to look through my design book. Sometimes I make sketches of things that comes to mind. Or I could make an elf gown that doesn't lace up the back and that I can put on by myself.

OMG so tempted to ask you to pick up some blue/gold stuff for my cape since Joann's can't manage to have a sale on stuff I actually need.

What about Arwen's coronation dress? Or Legolas' Lothlorien outfit? Or a book adaptation of whatever Galadriel wore in the assault on Dol Guldur? Earendil? One of the Valar? So many Tolkien options...

Did you see John Carter? Some of those costumes are worthy. Black Widow from Avengers? I can see you as a highly trained assassin...

If you want something for your cape, I can get some of the same stuff I have for my outfit, that I bought when it WASN'T 70% off. It's a very dark gold-brown color. There's no blue. I looked EVERYWHERE, even online, and royal blue duppioni doesn't exist on this planet (which is why Gil-galad has polyester everything).

Dude. YES. And if you get the white you can dye it the color you need for Elrond!

Frig. Can you take a picture of the silver, please? I might see if it's proper for Legolas' silver shirt. I know SilkBaron.com has the actual stuff, but if that silver is good enough, I might be able to lightly dye it darker to match. If so, I'll shoot you the cash to get me a yard or two of it!

The silver is not appropriate for Legolas. :( I thought of you immediately when I saw it, wondering if you needed shirt fabric, but upon closer inspection it did not past the test. It's very nubby, shot with white and black, and has a bit of a beige cast to it that I don't think you could dye out. It would be okay for a cheap, quick Legolas (like mine, if I didn't already have a shirt made of super fine silk I spent ALL THE MONEY on), but wouldn't work with the level of accuracy you're going for.

You make a valid point. Hmm...Silk Baron is having free shipping in the US from now on. Might as well get the actual fabric. I only need approx. 2 yards anyway.
