Ao no honoo / The Blue Light (2003)

Jul 07, 2010 00:48

Last night I watched Ao no honoo (The Blue Light).

I still have confusing thoughts about this brilliant movie but now I am certain about one thing, for sure. Nino’s acting skills are to be bowed to.

i love your reviews. seriously. I do.

somehow you're able to put all the things together and not 'spoil' too much with a plot.

*bows to the skills*

so now you know I'll probably never write my own review on this movie, cos I simply don't know what else can be said *__*

Thank you :*

I really try however sometimes it feels like I'm getting too carried away with the abstract things, getting away from the movie/drama itself.

Oh now I feel kinda bad about it. There can never be two identical reviews :B Please do write yours if you're still up for it :B

This was one my first japanese movies and first movie starring Nino I saw.
I didn't know that he was a boy from Arashi. I was really impressed by his acting.
From that moment I changed my mind about japanese movies and actors. Really.
I was thinking all the day how unhappy some families could be and I'm thankful to my parents that they did everything to make me feel happy with my family.
In the end I wanted to cry...Nino is gorgeous...

Halfway through into the movie I was wondering why it doesn't make me cry. I was just numb. And then that hands scene came and the flood gates opened. I just couldn't stop. Same for the last scene. Nino, sweetheart, why so awesome? <3

One of the most heartbreaking movies I have ever seen. This movie is so psychological that is definitely deserves a review. And yours is just great! In few words (few in comparison with mine which is long and boring) you analyzed the whole movie, its delicate topic and its meaning. Really beautiful! &hearts

Ao no Honoo and Maou have a lot in common. Maybe that's why I felt like making an Ao no Honoo review too. You'll see how much they resemble. XD

In conclusion... this:

I only started thinking about the psychology of the movie characters a couple of years ago. Before that, such thoughts didn't even cross my mind. Or, probably, not that much like now.

Thank you so much for your words ! :* And don't you criticize your review, deal? :B I need to re-read it btw, since I only read it once, the moment you posted it :)

I need to finish Tatta Hitotsu no Koi and Kaibutsu-kun before I start a new drama. Don't know if it will be Maou but I definitely have to watch it to read the review you worked so hard on ;)

Love your conclusion 8D
