This may sound strange, but I'm proud. So many people just sweep their dignity and value under the rug at the feet of their employers (this especially holds true for me in my current position). It's refreshing, and almost motivating to see people in these situations simply say "no" and break away from it.

That doesn't mean the next leg of the journey won't be full of hardships and unanswered questions, but at least you can carry with you a sense of respect and personal triumph.

I'm not sure what the next step will be; I'm just hoping there will be one. Even if its worse than Target, it will be different and that alone may make it worthwhile.
