DJ suggestions?

Does anyone have suggestions for a good wedding DJ in the Bay Area? By "good" I mean someone who can keep a dance floor of multiple generations dancing, incorporate songs and play lists from the happy couple's eclectic musical taste and generally keep a party going into the night. Any suggestions, and/or suggestions on good places to look?

You might try Patrick from Denon & Doyle. I've never seen him at a wedding but I've encountered him at a few events where I was performing, most recently a grad night and he did seem to manage to keep those 18-year-old grads dancing all night long. He seems like a very cool guy. Let him know Fire Pixie sent you. :)

Wedding DJs are spawn of Cthulu. The one thing we knew when we started planning our wedding was that we didn't want a professional DJ.

(There are probably plenty of perfectly fine ones out there, but I've been traumatized by other people's weddings...)

Now that's a provocative comment. What was traumatic (and what traps would you suggest I make sure to avoid)?
