Also, finding a girlfriend who works as hard as you do may be difficult, as you've noticed, but at various times you've had friends who didn't work as hard as you. Many people, especially people with the good jobs that you're considering end up getting spouses who primarily stay home and take care of the kids or something. Most people do seem to transition out of being surrounded by friends who they live with to having a family (wife and kids, most often) that they spend most of their not-at-work time with. Also, are you looking enough at meeting not at school with you people or people from other departments? For example, at music/art students. You might just need to surround yourself with different people.
