Friday we drove up to Maine, leaving here around 10 in the morning and arriving before 6 PM, I think. We didn't really do anything other than check out the tattoo convention, have dinner and call it a night. Harry, having been stuck at a required meeting at work, flew into Maine and got there around midnight

Unfortunately, Starla's forebears are from Maine. Poor, hard-scrabble potato farmers who barely had enough time on their hands for a proprer hug hello let alone the collection of precious memories for her. Hence, she declines Maine vacations. Sigh.
I'm glad you and the fam got a breather and spent a few red pennies on the lovely businesses there, God knows they need the tourist cash these days. Maine will be there for when we're ready. :-)
