In remembrance

I felt a need to be at the 9/11 Memorial today. I don't know why. I haven't been here since they finished the memorial, set up the pools in the footprints of the buildings. So, I am here, marking and remembering. And never, ever forgetting.

I was thinking about you while walking in the pre-dawn light this morning, wondering how you were doing. I understand that "I don't know why," bit. Sometimes we just feel the need to be somewhere.
