Love and kindness transcend death

Jan 20, 2012 22:04

I extend kindness and charity to the dead as well as the living.

Poor little Fluffer boy, my feral baby, I couldn't leave you lying in the street. I will miss you curled up on my stoop, waiting for me to come home. Stupid cars. Farewell and happy hunting. I'll see you in the Summerlands.

Thank you. I'm still shook up about it. Keep thinking I'll see him curled up on the stoop. Then I get all weepy again. I realized he hadn't even made it to a year old. Life is very unfair sometimes. I'm consoling myself with knowing that he felt safe on my stoop and knew he had a place to sleep and that he always had food.

Thanks, Griff. I get attached so easily. The rest of my clan has been putting up with being picking up and hugged since it happened. But somehow I think they know I'm hurting because a few are staying very close to me since it happened. "Fuzz therapy" is very important around here.
