Home sick. Lung biscuits abound. Have I mentioned how much I detest warm weather colds? Yuck!

I just got over a summer cold myself (or whatever the heck that was), and "lung biscuits" is all too evocative. I hope you feel better soon.

They are nasty, aren't they? I'm glad you are over it. Lung buscuits are both too evocative and quite apt a description. I lenared that term back in 1989 when the speech therapist at my new job coined it in response to what one of my students coughed up. It's been with me ever since.

Thank you!

You have my sincere empathy and I do hope we are both well soon.

I thought it looked very nice on you. My apologies for not commenting. I rarely comment to anyone anymore. My life has eaten my soul. :(

Ah, it's tempting. But whatever this damn thing is, it is keeping me tethered to the house where the nebulizer has been working overtime. :(

Feel better *very* soon Helen. Summer colds are the suck. It's already burning up here with, like, *very* low humidity--I feel like a strip of jerky or something.

We should create a recipe for "Lung Biscuits"...I wonder if anyone would want to eat them with that name? And what would we serve them with? "mucous gravy"?

Get well soon.

:-)

Thanks. Hot here too but with high humidity. Feh.

The recipe is easy: One part angsty 13 year old, one part cranky mom in ill health, one part job chasing pre-schoolers, three parts stress and a pinch of not enough sleep. That's what does it for me but YMMV. I don't want to serve it with anything, I just want it to go away.

I just looked it up and you guys are in the mid 80's w/52% humidity!

Here...I *never* fell for the "But..it's a *dry* heat..." thing. One simply feels *all* dried out and since AC *thrives* on humidity we are a bit uncomfortable right now. It will change when the monsoons kick in. Predicted highs for us are at 105 in the next few days!

Feel better.
