After seeing this trailer, it just went to the top of my most anticipated 2008 movies! Only Dark Knight and X-Files are as exciting! The original intent of doing Grindhouse was so QT and RR could get other directors to do things like that and they could be released periodically.Only, with the financial disappointment of that film, those dreams ( Read more... )

I have only ever seen 1 QT film I didn't care for and that was Jackie Brown. Everything else has either been fairly decent or nothing short of a masterpiece.

They're all poorly written excuses for a plethora of gratuitous violence, and nothing more! If only he'd deepen his plots even a little bit, I could at least put up with them...

Man, this is not our week for agreeing on movies, is it? Normally we're more or less on the same page, but this week? Geez. hahaha

It's true. Although, I think QTs movies are very well written and have a great deal of depth. Such as Pulp Fiction, which on the surface is a gangster film of mindless violence but in truth is a film about 2 angels (or blessed men protected by God) and their recovery of a soul traded to the forces of darkness in exchange for money and power. Only, the man gained so much money and power he was able to reclaim what was once his. Then, in the end was punished for his evil deeds but only once his soul and his ability to repent were restored to him. Really.
