Oh god, I love or have been dying to see a good number of your favorite films. Maybe I'll get around to it some day. (And the Neil Gaiman fan in me has to stop and shout. MirrorMask! Yay!)
If there is a part deux to my favorite movies it would be filled this list! I totally forgot to mention Miyazaki, even though I just saw Ponyo and cried like a baby. I'm so happy you have Run Lola Run on your list, it is such an awesome underapreciated film, I saw it like four times in one sitting. Oh! And Paris J'taime I've seen countless times. Its like an orgy of amazing stories and amazing directors. Actually... that movie was a huge push for my trip to Paris. Have you heard about New York, I Love You?
I have heard about New York, I Love You, but I'm kinda skeptical about it - the actors/directors involved in it are definitely not as awesome as the ones in Paris. But I'm definitely going to give it a watch :)
I haven't seen Ponyo yet, but as for crying like a baby, I definitely did during Paris J'taime :P (the segment with the guitarist who gets stabbed, to be specific, oh god its so sad!)
oh god yes! The first time I went to see P'JT I was crying throughout most of the film but at that scene I lost it! I was crying so hard I had to leave! Lol, I made all my friends see the movie but no one cried like me. My favorite scene is either the one with the mimes, or the vampire (elijah wood makes a hot vampire, who knew?) or the last one. Screw it they were all good. :P But New York I love you.... I'm definitely willing to give it a try. I'll probably be crying at that too ^.^
