I love this film. The 2 kids playing the brothers are such good actors. It's tragic the actor who played the older brother died a short while after the film was finished at the same location where they dove at the beginning of the movie.

oh I know, I absolutely love the boy who played Andrei, it's so awful... I love how you can catch him trying to hide a smile at the end of scenes, like after the father offers him the flask in the car, or after he yells at the waitress and she finally comes... they are both so beautiful and talented and it's tragic he ended up dying so young.

aside from amazing scenery and excellent cinematography, a rather dull and pointless movie.

left me really disappointed. there was a big hype here when it received the Golden Lion in Venice.

I think this movie is as whole a work
as Stand By Me, All the Real Girls or The 400 Blows.
how come everybody else thinks it's lightweight?
