You read my mind! I was just sitting around and wishing someone would make me some stills of this movie. You have a good eye.

Thanks! There were a few more that I accidentally didn't include, but oh well. I loved this movie so much.

Don't worry, there are no spoilers here. You should see it, it is wonderful.

Oh man, I've been wanting to see this since it hit theaters but so far no luck on that. Thanks for capping, makes me want to see it all the more.

I did see him live with the Nightmares not too long ago. One of the most raw, amazing shows I've ever been too. Took my sister up to say hi to him after the show (it was her first concert, steering her right) and he seemed really exhausted but was still really friendly. Shook my hand and everything.

But yeah, the man's one of my heroes.

I loved this movie so much. Visually.
But there's something wrong with it... I can't really put my finger on it...

Maybe it's that we never hear Daniel Johnston himself speak...

you mean in a direct interview? Because we hear him speak a lot during the film, through his tapes, his music, and coversations with other people. True, it is interesting that we don't see his speak directly to the camera as everyone else is, I hadn't noticed before.
But I think it's just the filmmakers' choice, to not have him give a mong monologue about himself, especially since he is unable to give a rational idea of who he is/what has happened.

It's a choise for sure. And I applaude Jeff Feuerzeig for making a clear choise (which is so so hard! believe me!). But for me it doesn't really work.
At the end of the movie I felt kind of... not cheated, but I didn't feel like I got 'to know' Daniel Johnston. I felt I knew allot about what and who revolved around him. But not about him.

Doesn't mean I wansn't really touched by the movie. Cause I was.!
