Demo Moore looks so much hotter now, it's unreal.

I guess you grow into your features. She was only 22 in this..

The gaudy make up and dresses don't help.

I also love Jon Cryer. At least Jon Cryer of the 80's.

It's on Netflix's Instant Play, so you can watch it right now! Online!

You've GOT to be kidding me.
They JUST changed it!
It was on Instant Play just a few hours ago.

That's crazy.

So I'm scrolling down probably echoing the reaction of everyone else who looked at this post, going "Oh my god I HAVE TO SEE This movie. I have to see it RIGHT NOW! John Cryer being all rosy-cheeked! Demi Moorie in her mid-eighties Lucky-Star-wear rocker period! San Fran--OH MY GOD IS THAT MEG TILLY?" and it wasn't Meg, it was Jennifer, but that's still my SECOND FAVORITE TILLY, and in the process of looking THAT up I discovered...ELIZABETH DAILY?
It's like someone took everything good/bad about the eighties and put it in a slap chop. WANT. NEED. LOVE.
...Will you marry me?

It is a pretty great mash-up, I agree, and a bit of a shame that it isn't more popular. Sure, it has a relatively formulaic set-up, but the ending was much less John Hughes and much more ..realistic/sincere.

Jennifer Tilly looks like a hipster wet dream in this. Spunky, Atari-playing, bespectacled. It's pretty awesome.

And while I don't ordinarily respond to marriage proposals done over livejournal, I will consider it.

I know! I saw that last night when I'm updating my queue. I'm thinking friends + table wine + rosy-cheeked John Cryer is a recipe for mega-mega-awesome. I really don't think I could be wrong.
